Pakistan won by 3 runs against England in seesaw thriller
Both teams have tied at 2-2 and the next match of the series set to be Lahore (September 28 30, September 30 and October 2).
In the previous round, England captain Moeen Ali won the toss and was able to send Pakistan into the field for the 4th Twenty20 in the National Stadium in Karachi on Sunday.
Pakistan were batted first and limited to a 167-run limit which by all accounts would be easy to achieve for an English team that scored the record with a staggering 222 runs in the earlier match.
It was never to be.
While the Pakistani batters struggled to get their feet on the ground they were able to deliver literally and literally in the form of Haris Rauf (3-32) Mohammad Hasnain (2-40) and Mohammad Wasim (1-30) pressuring the English team with their speed as spinners Mohammad Nawaz (3-35) and Mohammad Iftikhar (0-23) restricting the pace of runs.
It marked Pakistan’s 200th T20 and the first team to achieve this milestone.
England had three changes to their squad from their previous game. Alex Hales and David Willey were added to the squad, while Olly Stone got his first international T20 debut.
They have replaced Dawid Malan Sam Curran and Mark Wood.
Pakistan has left out Haider Ali (unfit) and Shahnawaz Dahani in order to bring Asif Ali along with Naseem Shah.
