Commissioner Karachi issues SOP for educational institutes
KARACHI: Muhammad Iqbal Memon, Commissioner, Karachi issued these instructions in accordance with the standard operating procedure concerning dengue in educational institutions throughout the city.
The Commissioner instructed all students to wear sleeves that are full. “Uncovered water is not to be left in any location or in a container at the medical institute. Particular attention must be paid to the cleanliness of the area. Every now and then sprays for anti-germs must be applied at various places of construction,” he said.
He advised that water tanks be cleaned thoroughly. He said that if information regarding dengue was discovered at any place the institution, the responsible administration must be notified immediately.
The rise of Dengue cases has created havoc throughout the country, since numbers of dengue cases are growing daily. The majority of dengue cases have been reported in the Sindh province of Sindh following heavy rain as well as flash flooding.
